The Department of Computer Technology Engineering at the Technical Engineering College of the National University of Science and Technology was established in the academic year 2023-2024. The department plays a pivotal role in advancing Iraqi society in the fields of computing, communication, and information technology, contributing to keeping pace with the rapid scientific and technological progress seen in advanced societies worldwide.

The Department of Computer Technology Engineering represents a modern direction in the disciplines of electronic engineering and computer networks, particularly in the design and implementation of electronic systems, computer boards, troubleshooting and repairing various electronic malfunctions, and managing internet and communication networks. The department aspires to be one of the distinguished departments in Iraq, recognized for its academic rigor, outstanding education, and scientific research that advances knowledge and serves society. It seeks to support the community by providing technical assistance and graduating qualified professionals to contribute to societal development.

In conclusion, serving the community is among the primary objectives the Department of Computer Technology Engineering strives to achieve. This is accomplished by leveraging its expertise in various technological fields through organizing training courses, technical and engineering workshops, and providing consultancy services. Additionally, the department collaborates in implementing and evaluating technological infrastructures for public and private institutions.
